Fortunately, Columbia, Maryland has its own Mirror Orchid—the nom de plume of Mike Mikowicz’ acoustic, indie pop outfit. Spending more than 15 years honing his craft in the bands Euphoric Lift, Bridges Will Always Collapse, and A Study in Her, Mike has learned a thing or two about creating the perfect pop song, a fact that’s evident the first time you hear the Mirror Orchid. Comprised of sweet lead vocals, tight harmonies, imaginative lyrics, and skillfully employed musicianship, the Mirror Orchid’s music evokes emotion, provokes thought, and pleasures the eardrums.
